GameMax has announced the release of the GX-850 PRO power supply, following the announcement of the 1050W variant in early August. The unit supports PCIe 5.1 and ATX 3.1 standards, with certified 80 PLUS Gold efficiency rating and a claimed conversion efficiency of 90%.

The GX-850 PRO, also available in black and white like its 1050W counterpart, features a fully modular cable system; it includes native 12V-2×6 16-pin connectors to support NVIDIA RTX 40 series GPUs. Additionally, the GameMax GX PRO Series also offers 1250W variants on top of the two aforementioned for users with higher power requirements, with a 10-year warranty.

The power supply comes with both MPS1213 PFC (power factor correction) chip and MP6924 LLC chip, along with UP3861 controller chip to deliver various voltage rails with reduced ripple and noise. It also uses Japanese Nichicon capacitors for durability, and is certified with multiple protections (OVP, UVP, OPP, OCP, SCP, OTP). A fluid dynamic bearing fan is present to keep thermals in check, though it is designed with noise reduction in mind as well.

The GX-850 PRO is now available globally through GameMax’s Amazon stores and partner resellers. The unit is priced at US$119.90.

Pokdepinion: Our bench currently runs on the 1050W unit, and so far it has done pretty well as far as impression goes.
