Leakers have gotten so ahead in terms of leaks, we’re already seeing detailed information for Intel’s Nova Lake series laptop processors, expected to be designated as Core Ultra 400. Mind you, the Core Ultra 300 (Panther Lake) hasn’t been formally announced by this point.

It’s worth reminding that leaks for products this far ahead of time is unlikely to stay accurate, as there are enough time for Intel to change plans; that said, seasoned leaker Jaykihn claims that there are five SKUs being considered, ranging from a 6-core (2P+4LPE) to 28-core (8P+16E+4LPE) variants, with one particular 16-core SKU focusing on strong graphics performance with 12 Xe3 cores onboard.

Earlier leaks already indicated that Nova Lake at large will feature up to 52-cores, but this is done by fusing two 24-core compute tiles, plus another 4-core acting as the low power efficiency cluster sitting in other spots of the silicon a la Meteor Lake. As another leaker Ruby Rapids pointed out, “mobile doesn’t need dual compute tiles,” which explains the top mobile chip capped at 28 cores.

As mentioned, expect these numbers to change as Nova Lake is not expected to launch before the second half of 2026 at the earliest. Before that, Intel still has Panther Lake to launch later this year, the expected lineup of which will be relatively modest with up to 16 cores (4P+8E+4LPE) available.
