Samsung Unveils Cutting-Edge 2024 Monitor Lineup – Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor, and ViewFinity Models

Samsung has introduced its 2024 lineup of monitors, featuring the latest Odyssey OLED, Smart Monitor, and ViewFinity models. These new additions promise to deliver enhanced user experiences through Samsung’s innovative features and cutting-edge technology.

Odyssey OLED G8 and G6

The standout in this lineup is the Odyssey OLED G8, which debuts as Samsung’s first 32-inch flat OLED gaming monitor. It boasts 4K UHD resolution, a 240Hz refresh rate, and a swift 0.03ms grey-to-grey (GtG) response time. Alongside it, the 27-inch Odyssey OLED G6 offers QHD resolution, the same rapid response time, but with an impressive 360Hz refresh rate. Both models are powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 processor, found in Samsung’s 2024 8K TVs, ensuring content is upscaled to nearly 4K quality.

To protect these premium displays, both the G8 and G6 feature Samsung’s OLED Safeguard+, a proprietary burn-in prevention technology that utilizes a pulsating heat pipe and dynamic cooling system for efficient heat management. These monitors also come equipped with FreeSync Premium Pro to eliminate choppiness and screen tearing, and OLED Glare Free technology, which maintains color accuracy and reduces reflections for an optimal viewing experience.

Aesthetically, the Odyssey OLED monitors feature a super slim metal frame and Core Lighting+ for ambient lighting that syncs with on-screen action. Their stands offer adjustable height, tilt, and swivel support, ensuring an ergonomic experience.

Samsung Smart Monitor M8, M7, and M5

Next, Samsung’s updated Smart Monitor lineup includes the M8 (M80D), M7 (M70D), and M5 (M50D), which merge entertainment and productivity for a seamless multi-device experience. The 32-inch 4K UHD Smart Monitor M8 is enhanced with AI capabilities such as AI upscaling for improved picture quality and Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which optimizes dialogue by analyzing background noise. This model also includes 360 Audio Mode for immersive sound and a built-in SlimFit Camera for easy video calls via Samsung Dex.

The M7 is available in 32-inch and 43-inch sizes with 4K UHD resolution, while the M5 comes in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes with FHD resolution, catering to diverse user needs. A notable addition across the Smart Monitor range is the Workout Tracker, which pairs with a Galaxy Watch to display real-time health data on the screen, even while streaming content.

Samsung Viewfinity S8 and S7

For creatives and professionals, Samsung presents the ViewFinity lineup. The ViewFinity S8 offers 27-inch and 32-inch options with 4K UHD resolution, a USB hub for connectivity, and a height-adjustable stand. It also includes a KVM switch for easy switching between two input devices and a USB-C port capable of charging devices with up to 90W of power.

The ViewFinity S7 is available in 27-inch and 32-inch sizes with 4K UHD resolution, while the ViewFinity S6 offers 24-inch, 27-inch, and 32-inch options with QHD resolution and a 100Hz refresh rate. These monitors support HDR10, display 1 billion colors, and integrate TÜV-Rheinland-certified Intelligent Eye Care features to reduce eye strain during prolonged use. All three models also come with an Easy Setup Stand for quick and tool-free assembly.
