Behold, MaxSun’s RTX 4090 With A Total Of Five Fans
NVIDIA’s monstrous RTX 4090 isn’t something that can be easily cooled with conventional ways, spawning many designs that generally comes with huge sizes, AIO cooling, and all kinds of cooling techniques thrown at it to make sure it doesn’t overheat. This particular GPU from MaxSun however, took the unconventional way: using 5 (five) fans.
At first glance, the MaxSun Mega Gamer (MGG) model doesn’t look too different than any other RTX 4090s with huge footprint and triple fans in the front. However, look closer and you’ll find a pair of tiny fans sitting on the top side of the card, which the company dubbed as “Air Boost Fan”. It’s mainly intended for exhausting heat actively to facilitate better cooling performance.
The cooling surfaces amount to a total area of 7000mm², which happens to be the same cooling solution used in the RTX 4080. Another feature of the GPU is merely cosmetic: the LED panel that sits on top of the GPU (in between two exhaust fans) is a detachable LED panel that users can customize to display texts and graphics.
The card measures at 337 x 137 x 66 mm, which makes it a relatively standard in the grand scheme of things, compared to something like, say, ROG STRIX 4090 (at 358mm long). That being said, MaxSun GPUs rarely find its way outside of China – so getting one of these won’t be exactly easy if you live elsewhere.

Pokdepinion: The smaller fans probably will produce more noise than the three big ones. Quite a novel solution, at least.
