GIGABYTE’s App Confirms RTX 4070 & RTX 4060 Memory Specs

GIGABYTE Control Center – the control software for its GPUs and motherboards – has recently received a new update which revealed the yet-unannounced NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 and RTX 4060’s memory specs. The version 23.03.02.01 update changelog has included two upcoming GIGABYTE GPU models, with its memory capacity directly attached to the model number:

Most GPUs have model numbers like these which reveals the memory capacities and its silicon type (standard vs overclocked), so it’s not hard to tell that given this information, the upcoming RTX 4070 is set to have 12GB of VRAM whereas the RTX 4060 will go with just 8GB of VRAM, less than its predecessor.
Videocardz’s sources claim that the RTX 4070 may be announced on April 12th – and launch is set on the very next day. However, RTX 4060 launch may be some time away as no one has obtained any information on its launch so far, though May onwards is more probable.
