NVIDIA AIBs Expect RTX 5090 & RTX 5080 Will Arrive By Q4 2024

With Team Green recently announcing the Blackwell data center GPUs, one can expect its consumer derivatives to arrive pretty soon. More importantly, we’re soon reaching the 2-year mark since the RTX 40 series was unveiled in October 2022, which means the next-gen RTX 50 series GPUs are coming. As reported by Taiwanese outlet UDN Money, AIB partners agree that this will be the case.

“Add-in board partners expect NVIDIA’s new RTX 50 series GPUs to be unveiled by the fourth quarter (of 2024), which will initially focus on flagship and high-end products such as RTX 5090, RTX 5080, etc. Analysts are optimistic that NVIDIA’s upcoming bi-annual GPU upgrade will boost the shipment volume and carry the average selling price (ASP) of graphics cards upwards,” the article wrote.

Videocardz added that GPU leaker @kopite7kimi has corroborated such claims, indicating that the RTX 50 series will launch “at the end of the year.” The leaker previously revealed that the Blackwell-based GPU will feature next-gen GDDR7 memory, as well as a 512-bit memory bus – though this will be exclusive to the flagship, GB202-based model. Models down the product stack, meanwhile, will mostly retain their respective bus width specs.

In any case, expect more information to be available down the line from official sources or leaks as the launch period approaches by Q4 2024.

Pokdepinion: Nothing out of the ordinary, given that we’re close to 2 years since RTX 40 was launched.
