If you’re a big PC enthusiast back in the day, you’ll probably know the legendary GeForce 256 – widely known as the “world’s first GPU” when it was launched back in 1999. Now, you can have a chance to win a very special unit, framed and signed by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang himself.

NVIDIA’s Greatest Hits Giveaway

But that’s not all. The GeForce 256 is first of five GPUs Team Green will be giving away in the coming days until CES 2025 kicks off in January 6, and at this writing, its X/Twitter account has presented three of the five models, which are all NVIDIA’s greatest hits: aside from the aforementioned GeForce 256, there’s the GeForce 8800 Ultra (first CUDA-powered GPU), and then the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti (“The Ultimate GeForce”). What’s next? It’s likely any of the RTX-branded cards, but I’d wager RTX 4090 possibly being one of those.

Participation is very simple: just reply to the relevant giveaway posts with the hashtag #GeForceGreats on it. No word on when the winners will be announced, but it’s worth a try if you want something unique for your collection.

A quick reminder that NVIDIA will be hosting its keynote in CES 2025 on January 6th, and we’ll naturally see Jensen Huang in his classic leather jacket and perhaps talk about AI in more ways than one (and that’s still an understatement). More importantly for us mere gaming mortals, it is expected that the new GeForce RTX 50 series will be officially revealed in this keynote, so stay tuned for that.

Pokdepinion: Boy was GTX 1080 Ti a good GPU. Those were the days.
