We know ASUS’s flagship ROG Astral series of graphics cards are among the priciest model you can find on the market today, owing to its overbuilt cooling systems and some additional tricks up their sleeves. While the company has spun up a gold edition with a higher price tag, it’s still far from the most expensive card you can find today.
The Golden ASUS ROG Astral RTX 5090

That award goes to this one-off card shown off by ASUS China in Bilibili World 2025, which contains a whopping 5 kilograms of pure gold, with a total estimated cost of $500,000 (~RM2.1 million). Not even the most expensive datacenter GPU NVIDIA sells today comes close to the price tag this golden GPU is asking for.
Just for reference, the ROG Astral RTX 5090 Dhahab Edition (Dhahab means ‘gold’) reportedly costs $7,000 apiece, and that card contains just 6.5 grams of gold. For this golden card, adding all the GPU components on it nets a total weight of 7.2 kilograms, which definitely warrants a GPU stand if you ever consider to install it inside a PC case.

While this is clearly a one-off designed for showcases, ASUS does produce several colored variations of its ROG Astral cards. The default model is the black frame coupled with some gray-colored elements, while the white edition is, naturally, an all-white card. Then there’s the gold edition we just mentioned, although the RTX 5090 variant is limited to Middle Eastern markets only.
