FYI, we’re halfway through Year of the Horse by the time this article was published, but COLORFUL does have a new keyboard in Chitu MAG-60 to celebrate the occasion. This new model is a limited-edition 60% mechanical keyboard produced in a run of 300 units worldwide, drawing on the legend of the Red Hare (Chitu, 赤兔) warhorse, and featuring Han Dynasty horse carvings, cloud motifs, and a vermilion-red finish referencing Chinese seal art.

The chassis is CNC-machined from T6 aluminum with a multi-layer anodized finish and Chitu-themed artwork on the base. The top cover uses imported Alcantara suede with embossed cloud patterns, and the side accents are hand-finished full-grain leather. Each unit includes a laser-engraved individual serial number and two custom metal artisan keycaps with horse-inspired engravings.
The Chitu MAG-60 uses exclusive TTC Year of the Horse “White Horse” Magnetic Switches, featuring what COLROFUL describes as the “industry’s first triple-layer customized acoustic module” integrated into a magnetic switch. The switches use “custom rare-earth permanent magnets”, though specifics were not given aside from its capability to support analog inputs and multi-actuation features courtesy of TMR (Tunneling Magnetoresistance) sensors, which provides up to 90% less power consumption over Hall Effect equivalent, along with 0.005mm sensor resolution.

Other aspects of the White Horse switches include a rated lifespan of up to 100 million keystrokes, high-transparency housings for RGB illumination, while the keycaps are produced from five-sided dye-sublimated PBT plastic. The keyboard uses a top-mount suspended structure with four layers of sound-dampening material. Like most keyboards, it supports 8,000Hz polling rate for an effective input latency of 0.125ms.
The Chitu MAG-60 uses COLORFUL’s browser-based software for configuring actuation distance, Rapid Trigger settings, macros, RGB lighting (22 built-in effects, 16.8 million colors), and firmware updates without requiring dedicated software installation. The keyboard also supports motherboard RGB synchronization and is compatible with both Windows and macOS.
As of this writing, COLORFUL only confirmed the pricing of the Chitu MAG-60 in China, which is 2,399 Chinese Yuan (~RM1,466). It is scheduled to launch on 30 June 2026, and as mentioned earlier, only 300 units will be offered worldwide.
Pokdepinion: Alcantara? Now that makes it properly high-end stuff.
