Razer Blackwidow V4 Now Comes In 75% Form Factor
Following the release of plus-sized Blackwidow V4 Pro, Razer is now going the other way to shrink the keyboard into smaller form factors. The Razer Blackwidow V4 75% is one such product – bringing the features offered on the standard V4 into a smaller physical footprint.
Like other contemporary Blackwidow keyboards, it comes with hot-swappable, 3-pin or 5-pin switches; by default it comes with Razer’s own all-new Orange Tactile Mechanical Switches Gen-3, which features “higher bump point and a cleaner sound profile”. Its base feature a gasket-mounted FR4 plate with two layers of sound dampening foam, sandwiched in between various layers of the chassis to keep the “thock” feel.
The stabilizers are also swappable thanks to screw-in designs; all comes pre-lubed from factory for smoother key actuation. Chassis wise, it’s the same 5052 aluminum alloy frame found in other Blackwidow V4s, and as with Razer’s proud tradition – it comes with two-side underglow plus per-key Chroma RGB lighting.
Its smaller form factor does reduce the amount of media keys down to two, with a shortened multi-function roller; it also loses the macro keys from the full-size model. Apart from that, it still gets full Razer Synapse programmable key support, doubleshot ABS keycaps (PBT optional), 8000Hz polling rate, N-key rollover and anti-ghosting.
The Razer Blackwidow V4 75% will come in two versions: the standard black, and a second White Edition model – priced at RM939 and RM999 respectively. Standard edition is now available in Razer.com and authorized retailers; whereas the White Edition will begin shipping starting mid-September this year.
Pokdepinion: 75% should be the sweet spot for most gamers who needs large mouse space, and this one is fairly enticing with its customizability.
