Razer has announced the availability of its 4000Hz wireless HyperPolling technology to more keyboards via the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle. The feature was first introduced with the BlackWidow V4 Pro 75%, and it is now available on the BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless HyperSpeed, BlackWidow V4 Low-profile HyperSpeed, and BlackWidow V4 Low-profile Tenkeyless HyperSpeed keyboards.

The 4000 Hz wireless HyperPolling technology enables keyboards to transmit up to four times more data per second compared to the standard 1000Hz polling rate, reducing input latency from a theoretical 1 millisecond down to a minimum of 0.25 milliseconds. Of course, this value is extremely miniscule in the grand scheme of things, but in the world of esports where milliseconds matter (and there certainly are no shortage of Razer gear in the competition), every bit of advantage counts.

To activate the feature, users must update their supported keyboards to the latest firmware via Razer Synapse 4 and pair them with the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle. If you have the aforementioned models connected to your PC, look for the prompt in Synapse 4 software that says firmware update is available (or though the link under the keyboard tab); follow the link to Razer’s support page to download and install the firmware for the corresponding model. Once down, simply pair the keyboard to the connected HyperPolling Wireless Dongle and follow the on-screen instructions.

Pokdepinion: Extra bits of advantage, however tiny, is always welcomed.
