ORICO’s CyberData NAS lineup is making the move from crowdfunding to retail with four models set to be available through the ORICO official online store. The lineup covers all-flash, hybrid, and high-capacity storage configurations, comprising the CF6, CF56, CF56 Pro, and CF1000 models, all running on its in-house CyberData OS.
ORICO CyberData NAS Series
Starting with the CyberData CF6 – as the smallest model in the lineup, it includes six M.2 NVMe slots supporting up to 48TB of all-flash storage, along with 10GbE and 2.5GbE LAN ports; it works with RAID 1, RAID 5, RAID 6, and RAID 10 configurations for redundancy. While it is physically small, being an all-flash model means it should be extremely fast, though the Intel Core N305 processor is most likely the main bottleneck here. A single stick of 16GB DDR5-4800 RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage is also featured here.
Next, the CyberData CF56 is essentially the bigger version of CF6, with identical specs across the board short for featuring extra five SATA bays on top of six M.2 NVMe slots, totaling up to 168TB of storage. This hybrid configuration allows frequently accessed files to be stored on SSDs, while archives and backups remain within the same system on slower, more spacious HDDs.
Moving further upward and we have the CyberData CF56 Pro, which includes a 12-core, 16-thread Intel Core i5-1240P processor, dual 10GbE ports and two 40Gbps USB4 connections. It comes with 16GB DDR5-5200 RAM and 128GB SSD storage for the host system, though it features the same amount of drives supported with five SATA drives and six M.2 NVMe drives. The flagship CyberData CF1000 includes ten SATA bays, two M.2 NVMe slots for up to 256TB of combined storage, plus support for RAID 50 and RAID 60 modes.
The ORICO CyberData NAS Series is now available starting through the ORICO official online store. The CyberData CF6 is priced at $599.99, the CyberData CF56 at $699.99, the CyberData CF56 Pro at $899.99 and the CyberData CF1000 at $1,399.99.
Pokdepinion: It’s up to the brand to prove if it can offer the level of reliability NAS systems demand.
