Ex-1MDB Chairman Bakke Salleh Appointed New TM Chairman

Recently, it was announced that Rosli Man will be stepping down from his position as TM chairman. Then, it was announced that former Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) and 1MDB chairman Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh would be appointed as their non-independent, non-executive TM chairman.
Rosli Man resigned due to “cessation of office as an appointed director and non-independent non-executive chairman of TM.” He was appointed to the board on 3rd December 2018 and previously served as an independent non-executive director.
TM has since welcomed Bakke Salleh to his new position, and mentioned about his extensive experience in the corporate world:
Meanwhile, TM said they happily welcomed Bakke, who is a highly respected corporate figure with extensive experience and is known for upholding governance and integrity, as their new chairman.
