Hotlink's New Prepaid Plan Introduces Faster Speeds, More Quota - 15

Maxis today announces that its Hotlink prepaid plans gets a brand new update, with the aim to provide “even more value, choices and flexibility”. The new Prepaid plan consolidates both the Hotlink Unlimited and Hotlink Pantas plans into one, though the pricing structure remain the same. In line with the launch, the telco provider is offering 20% cashback vouchers for youth on each purchase of the passes.

The changes involved are the increase of speeds for the unlimited quota tiers, and increase quota for high-speed internet plans. The previous Unlimited plans caps the speeds at 3Mbps and 6Mbps for RM40 and RM50 packages respectively (with 2am-2pm uncapped), but now the new plan has raised the speed to 6Mbps and 12Mbps respectively around the clock (that’s around 768KB/s and 1.5MB/s, if you’re counting).

Meanwhile, the old Pantas plans has been refreshed under the new Prepaid plan umbrella with increase data caps, from the old 15GB (RM25) and 30GB (RM35) to now 20GB and 40GB respectively. Speeds remain uncapped as long as data usage is within quota limits.

Maxis reiterated that subscribers may continue to access free Premier League live matches, free Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in-game items and more exclusive partner deals through Hotlink Rewards on the app, and the company is encouraging existing users to switch to the new plan via the app.

Pokdepinion: I for one welcome this zero-cost upgrade.
