You Can Now Search WhatsApp Messages By Date

While WhatsApp offers a search feature in chats so you can look for any important messages, such a feature only works if you remember a specific keyword. Today, the developers have announced a small update that adds the ability to search by date instead.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared a demonstration via his WhatsApp channel on how the feature works in real-time. To search any message by date, simply tap into any chat, and tap the group name/contact info at the top of the screen. Then, tap ‘Search’ and choose the date to jump into. Keep in mind you can search for specific files, images, or media via the same menu as well.

This feature is now available on iOS, macOS, and the web client, while rollout is currently ongoing for Android devices.
