Unlike Twitter, Threads Will Make Editing Posts Available For Free
The recently launched Threads app has already gained 100 million users despite being still very bare bones at current state – and Meta is looking to introduce more features as the Twitter competitor is rapidly expanding. One of upcoming features is the Edit button, which Twitter has locked behind the Blue subscription paywall (which costs RM35 monthly).
“The team has been entirely focused on keeping the lights on and fixing bugs, but we’re starting to priorite (looks like an intentional typo) the obvious missing features, like a following feed, the edit button, and post search,” wrote Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram (who also oversees Threads). Cheeky typo there, isn’t it?
While he didn’t specify when would the new feature arrive, suffice to say the team over at Threads is working full steam to bring many of the requested features available as soon as possible, including a followers-only curated feed and chronological feed. We expect all these features should be available for everyone, no subscription necessary.

Pokdepinion: A full-fledged web version would be nice to have, but I suppose it’s not high up in Meta’s development checklist right now.
