ASUS has announced the ROG Raikiri II Pro PC as its latest entry of high-end PC wireless controller, featuring 8000Hz polling rate, hot-swappable joystick modules, and up to 79 hours of wireless battery life. As expected, the controller features three connectivity modes – wired, 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth.
ASUS ROG Raikiri II Pro PC

For starters, the ROG Raikiri II Pro PC features ROG SpeedNova technology which powers the 8K polling rate over a 2.4GHz wireless connection for ultra-low latency input. Every button on the controller, including the D-Pad, face buttons, and rear buttons, uses micro switches for fast actuation and crisp tactile feedback. The controller offers four removable rear buttons and two extra claw bumpers, and these are all remappable (same applies to face buttons).
The controller’s Dual Mode Triggers feature allow players to switch between short-travel micro-switch triggers and full-travel TMR sensor triggers, making it adaptable across different game genres; we’ve seen such designs in Razer Wolverine V3 Pro before, which caters to both first-person shooter players who prefer fast inputs and those who want the full analog range for racing or sports titles.

ASUS says ROG Raikiri II Pro PC also features hot-swappable TMR joystick modules, the technology of which address the long-standing problem of joystick drift, all while also consuming less power than Hall Effect-based joysticks. The controller ships with two sets of joystick modules: a default 120gf set and an additional 50gf set, so players can pick either of the two actuation options straight out of the box.
A built-in full-color panel on the controller lets users make on-the-fly adjustments to button mapping, vibration intensity, joystick calibration, lighting effects, and brightness; users can also switch between five saved profiles without needing to open any software through this method. Alternatively, customization can be done via web-based ASUS Gear Link, giving options such as detailed button mapping, joystick sensitivity tuning, and a Turbo mode (which triggers rapid auto-repeat when a button is held down).

The ROG Raikiri II Pro PC delivers up to 79 hours of wireless playtime on a single charge, measured with the built-in panel, vibration, and RGB lighting turned off at a 1000Hz polling rate, so expect the actual figure to be a fair bit less than that. The controller comes bundled with a detachable 1.8m USB Type-A to USB-C cable, a portable protective charging case, a charging stand with feet, four rear button cover plates, a module removal tool, two TMR joystick modules, and two detachable joystick caps.
At the time of this writing, ASUS has not confirmed a local release date – pricing and availability for the ROG Raikiri II Pro PC in Malaysia will be announced through ROG Malaysia’s official social media channels at a later date.
