Publisher 2K has officially revealed the cover athletes for NBA 2K27, and they are: San Antonio Spurs’ Victor Wembanyama, Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark, and retired NBA pro Derrick Rose of Chicago Bulls fame. Each athlete will front a separate edition of the game, which is set to launch on September 4, 2026 across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Steam, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Victor Wembanyama, who became the NBA’s first-ever unanimous Defensive Player of the Year, appears on the Standard Edition of NBA 2K27; Caitlin Clark, the Indiana Fever guard who claimed the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year award and has since become a three-time WNBA All-Star starter, headlines the Deluxe Edition. (She is noted as the first WNBA player to front her own global edition of the game.) Chicago Bulls legend Derrick Rose, a three-time NBA All-Star and the youngest MVP in NBA history, is featured on the limited-time Ultra Edition.
If you plan to buy the game, NBA 2K27 Standard Edition is priced at $69.99, launches September 4, 2026 across all four platforms. The $99.99 Deluxe Edition is available on three of the four which excludes Nintendo Switch 2. This edition includes 100,000 VC, a range of MyCAREER content including skill boosts, Gatorade boosts, and jerseys for both Wembanyama and Clark, as well as MyTEAM content including a Full ’27: Series 1 Team Selection and additional packs.
Finally, the Ultra Edition is priced at $149.99 and is available through September 6, 2026, which includes everything in the Deluxe Edition plus an additional 35,000 VC, a Season 1 Pro Pass, and a Summer Season Pass Pro Pass Bundle covering Seasons 7 through 9 releasing in Summer 2027. Ultra Edition buyers also receive a Roses Oversize Hoodie in MyCAREER, a guaranteed 98 OVR MyTEAM card in December 2026, and a guaranteed Invincible card in May 2027.
Players who owned NBA 2K26 and pre-order the Ultra Edition on the same platform are eligible for a 10% loyalty discount, available via the platform store through September 3, 2026. Pre-orders are live now on the NBA 2K27 official website. Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners get Early Access starting August 28, 2026 at 9AM PDT (August 29, 12AM MYT), one week ahead of the full launch.
