Infinix officially unveiled its GT NX Series peripherals with two new products, the GT NX Controller and GT NX Station, for mobile gaming uses. The smartphone maker says this lineup aims to address a gap in the market where existing accessories typically serve only one function each, requiring users to purchase and set up multiple separate devices.
Infinix GT NX Controller
The Infinix GT NX Controller almost certainly took some ideas from Valve’s Steam Controller, by integrating a pair of touchpads into a controller that is primarily designed for smartphone, which means it gets to claim a world-first in this regard. It’s also got a magnetic docking system a la Nintendo Switch, with multiple docking configurations available, including using only one half of the controller.
Given that this is designed for smartphones, we don’t expect the touchpad to behave exactly like the one you’ll find in Valve’s equivalent, even though Android technically supports mouse inputs; in its marketing materials, Infinix describes it as “4-zone touchpad” that seemingly behaves like a virtual D-pad by default, although a direct mouse input mode is available.
It uses a “esports-grade three-chip low-latency architecture” that achieves “millisecond-level direct connect,” and it’s good for over 22 hours of gameplay on a single charge; you’ll also find haptic motors here as well. The thumbstick, which sits on the top left, has Hall Effect sensor underneath which should minimize drift over time. The controller works on both Android and iOS smartphones.
Infinix GT NX Station
The Infinix GT NX Station is claimed as the industry’s first docking station with integrated thermoelectric cooling (TEC) – a common cooling mechanism only found in smartphones. Beyond cooling, it supports both mirror and display extension modes for casting gameplay to external monitors or TVs, and includes dynamic RGB lighting.
The station carries nine ports in total: HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet, two USB-A ports, a USB-C host cable, USB-C, USB-C power delivery input, a microSD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. When paired with its GT series smartphones, the extend mode allows the external display to handle gameplay while the phone screen manages background tasks or powers down to save battery and reduce heat.
Both universal extend and mirror modes are limited to selected Infinix devices running XOS 16.3 or later, as well as USB-C Android and iOS devices with native DP output; other USB-C Android devices require driver installation via the docking station, and external displays must have an HDMI input.
Pricing & Availability
The GT NX Controller and GT NX Station are each priced at a recommended retail price of RM399; separately, a GT NX Bundle, including both the controller and station, is available for online pre-order from RM549. The GT NX range will expand to Infinix Brand Stores nationwide from early October 2026 while stocks last, and is also available through Infinix’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop.
