CelcomDigi has announced the next phase of its CD:NXT flagship talent development initiative aimed at cultivating Malaysia’s next generation of digital talent through closer collaboration between academia and industry. It is anchored by three programs: campus@celcomdigi, the Young Talent Programme (YTP), and Certifications.

campus@celcomdigi Initiative

The campus@celcomdigi initiative is described as a first-of-its-kind program in Malaysia, designed to bridge classroom learning with direct industry experience. Second-year university students will take on real business challenges as part of their coursework and receive ongoing mentorship from industry practitioners throughout their studies.

Selected final-year students will undertake industry residencies at CelcomDigi’s dedicated on-site campus at its headquarters, working alongside experienced teams and contributing to live projects. The initiative launches with four university partners: Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), and HELP University.

Through the final-year residency program, the telco operator targets more than 300 students annually, with plans to progressively expand to additional universities in the coming years.

Young Talent Programme & Certifications

CelcomDigi’s Young Talent Programme (YTP) was first launched in 2025 to develop high-potential graduates with the skills, capabilities, and mindset needed for modern organizations. The two-year structured program combines rotational assignments, mentorship, and hands-on involvement in strategic business projects.

Following a successful inaugural cohort, the YTP has welcomed its second batch of 20 high-potential young talents. They will develop careers across disciplines including Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data and Business Analytics, Digital Product Development, and AI and Automation.

Completing the CD:NXT portfolio is the Certifications program, which builds on the foundation of CelcomDigi Metaversity to expand access to emerging technology learning. It offers recognized accreditation in artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) for school students, university students, and working professionals, providing industry qualifications intended to advance digital skills across age groups.
