Free Fire World Series (FFWS) is overhauling its Southeast Asian qualification structure for 2027, with top-performing teams from local leagues in Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Malaysia earning direct slots to the FFWS Global Finals. The regional FFWS Southeast Asia league will no longer run as a separate competition, replaced by a streamlined pathway that takes the best teams straight from their national leagues to the global stage.
Free Fire World Series 2027: SEA Qualification Breakdown
Southeast Asia will retain eight slots at the FFWS Global Finals. Seven of those slots will be awarded directly through the four local leagues, while the eighth will go to the winner of a regional Last Chance Qualifier.

The champions and runners-up of FFWS Indonesia, FFWS Thailand, and FFWS Vietnam will each qualify directly for the Global Finals, accounting for six of the seven direct slots. The FFWS Malaysia champion will secure the seventh direct qualification spot.
The remaining Southeast Asian slot will be contested at the Last Chance Qualifier, which will feature 12 teams in total. These include the third- to fifth-placed teams from Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, as well as the second- to fourth-placed teams from Malaysia.

Across two seasons in 2027, the four local leagues will offer a combined prize pool of USD 1.4 million. FFWS Malaysia will feature a prize pool of USD 100,000 per season, with increased prize pools confirmed across all four local leagues compared to previous years.
