CORSAIR recently announced the HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS gaming headset, positioned as the newest high-end model in its HS80 series. It is now available for purchase in some regions, though Malaysians will only see it in retail stores starting this November.

The headset uses upgraded 50mm non-Newtonian laminate drivers, which CORSAIR says reduce residual diaphragm vibration after loud sounds such as gunshots or explosions. This is intended to keep quieter cues, including footsteps and reloads, distinct. On PC, Dolby Atmos spatial audio places sounds in three-dimensional space, though it requires the Dolby Access app and is not available on other platforms.
The microphone uses a 10mm capsule with a built-in pop filter and a flip-to-mute design. On PCs with a compatible NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics card, NVIDIA Broadcast mic enhancement can reduce keyboard noise, fan noise and room ambience. The company’s iCUE software allows users to enable these features, adjust EQ settings, load pre-tuned profiles and customize RGB lighting.

The 370g headset has memory foam ear cushions wrapped in breathable fabric, a floating adjustable headband and an aluminum frame. Simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth allow users to game on one device while taking calls or streaming music from another. It is compatible with PC, Mac, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.
Battery life reaches up to 110 hours on 2.4GHz wireless and up to 130 hours over Bluetooth with RGB off. With RGB on, this falls to up to 65 hours and 80 hours respectively, all measured at 50% volume. A 15-minute charge provides six hours of use. On-ear controls include a volume scroll wheel with a multifunction button, a power button and a dedicated Bluetooth button.

The CORSAIR HS80 v2 MAX WIRELESS gaming headset has an MSRP of RM939 in Malaysia, with availability expected in mid-November 2026. Globally, it is available from 8 October 2026 through the CORSAIR webstore and its network of authorized retailers and distributors, with a US MSRP of $199.99.
