Here Are The Tips & Tricks For Your Apple Devices And Services This Raya Season
For those celebrating Hari Raya next week, Apple has provided a few tips and tricks for its devices, and content from its services for you to enjoy this festive season. Without further ado, here’s a few things to take note.
iOS Features
If your relatives and friends (or even friends of friends) are coming for your rumah terbuka (open house), you can do with a quick contact exchange: to do that, you can use the new NameDrop feature. Just place both phones’ top side against each other, and you can slip the contact information across in one confirmation. You can add some flair to the contact by adding Contact Posters as well.
Just got yourself a new partner but not ready to break the news? You most likely have a bunch of photos together stashed inside your phone. To keep these photos away from your friends and family (until you’re ready, of course), you can keep the album hidden behind a FaceID lock. From the same app, you can also create stickers straight out from the photos you just taken and drop them in the friends’ chat. To keep track of things, there’s the Journal app, too.
App Store
Apple has curated a list of apps to try for this fasting season – in this Ramadan Favorites page, the apps are categorized into few sections, including daily planning, content services, content editing and sharing, family gaming, and apps curated for the kids in the family. Celebrate the season with apps like MuslimPro, Smule, and Canva to make the most out of this holy month.
Apple Music
The company’s music streaming platform has collaborated with established and emerging artists in the ‘Riang Ria Hari Raya’ playlist. Starting this Friday (April 5), you can look forward to artists like Ernie Zakr, Aisha Retno & Aziz Harun, Syamel and De Fam sharing their favourite tracks, both new and classic hits. Also, you can check out playlists like Hari Raya With Family featuring artists including DOLLA, Aina Abdul, Iman Troye and more; as well as Family Get-Together playlist with tracks by Arabic singer-songwriters.
Apple Store
Apple has also recently introduced financing and trade-in programs, allowing customers to split the bill up to 24 months (6-month and 12-month option are also available, all with 0% interest rates). You can pick the instalment options during the checkout process, and for those with existing devices, trade-in option is offered as well – which provides credits to your purchase of the next Apple device.
