What’s with this obsession with the name Air now? Well, after the Mi Notebook Air’s announcement, Lenovo has also started taking orders in China for its latest Air 13 Pro notebook.Lenovo Air 13 Pro 3

What are we looking at here anyway? Pretty similar specifications to the Mi Notebook Air for the same price, apparently. The Lenovo Air 13 Pro packs an Intel Core i5 6200U Skylake CPU, 4GB of RAM, a NVIDIA GeForce 940MX with 2GB of GDDR5 VRAM, a blazing fast 256GB PCIe SSD and a 13.3″ full HD (1080p) IPS display, all in a 1.29kg package that measures a slim 14.8mm thin. Lenovo also manages to cram a HDMI port, a USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, an audio jack and a SDXC card reader into the svelte figure of the Lenovo Air 13 Pro. How does this compare against the Mi Notebook Air? Well we are looking at 4GB more system RAM in the Mi Notebook Air, and 1GB less VRAM as well as two USB 3.0 ports instead of one USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 in the Lenovo Air 13 Pro. Price wise, both are priced at 4999 RMB, or somewhere around RM3050.

As an established computer manufacturer, Lenovo will also offer the Air 13 Pro in 3 variants, with the highest end one featuring an i7 CPU with 8GB of memory and a 512GB PCIe SSD for 6999 RMB (RM4266).

Pokdepinion: I believe we have a much higher chance of seeing the Lenovo Air 13 Pro arrive on our shores than the Mi Notebook Air, given both companies’ track records of releasing products here.
