With webcams, Logitech has dominated the space for a long time. Now, Razer aims to dethrone the king with their Razer Kiyo webcam, and here’s our unboxing.

Unboxing the Razer Kiyo Webcam

When you think of webcams, chances are that you’ll be thinking of Logitech. Sure, there are other brands around but they’ve never really stood out, especially among the gaming communities. Realizing this, Razer has decided to give this a try by introducing the Razer Kiyo webcam.

Unlike regular cameras, webcams tend to be rather small and can suffer massively in quality with poor lighting. However, not everyone can afford / have the space for those constant lighting kits. Most ring lights you find on the internet are powered by AA / AAA batteries, which can be a bit of a hassle.

Razer decided to integrate a ring light into their webcam in order to solve, or at least mitigate the issue as much as possible. It’s meant to be shining on your face so people can see it clearer. Also, keep in mind that with better lighting, the webcam can display smoother visuals as well, so if you’re particular about having 60 FPS webcam streams, this would be very important.

We are in the midst of reviewing the Razer Kiyo webcam and will be publishing it in the near future. For now, be sure to watch the unboxing at the top of this post. If you want to know more about this webcam, check out the specifications right below here:

If you’re an aspiring streamer or content creator, this is definitely a space you should look out for. Sure, you could stick to the usual, safe choice with the other brand but what if trying something new could lead to having better production value? Could this be the one for you? Be sure to stay tuned to Pokde.net as we will be publishing the review for this very soon.
