DJI today is announcing the Osmo Action 4, its latest offering of the action camera lineup, less than a year since the predecessor’s release. The specs feature the new 1/1.3″ sensor, f/2.8 aperture, 2.4μm equivalent pixel pitch, shoots up to 4K 120FPS and features up to 155° ultrawide FOV.

The camera also provides 360° HorizonSteady stabilization mode and various other stabilization available for different shooting scenarios; it shoots D-Log M with 10-bit color, with an onboard color temperature sensor to ensure color tones are consistent with real life.

Meanwhile, the battery allows for over 2.5 hours of runtime, and 0-80% requires 18 minutes thanks to fast charging capabilities. The battery is also designed to withstand extreme cold conditions – where battery runtime can degrade under low temperatures – allowing 2.5 hours (150 minutes) of recording time under conditions as low as -20°C.

The Osmo Action 4 also supports native vertical shooting; its touchscreens are resistant to liquid stains. A Quick Switch button acts as a mode switcher to change shooting modes, and the chassis is designed to withstand up to 18m underwater without a case (however DJI recommends installing waterproof case for long-term underwater shooting duties).
