[CES 2024] MSI Joins The Gaming Handheld Party, To Be Announced At CES 2024
MSI has hinted on its Instagram page that a new handheld is coming its way – the company is jumping into the heated gaming handheld battlefield, currently occupied by the likes of Valve, ASUS, and Lenovo.
The short clip reveals a small portion of the device, and a silhouette that shows two glowing rings – presumed to be the joysticks with illuminated RGB lighting.

Taking that brief shot of the handheld’s silhouette into the good ol’ Photoshop for some post-processing we get this image, which confirms that it is indeed a gaming handheld:
While the teaser doesn’t provide any details on the name or specs, there are a few options out there: the tried-and-tested AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, or – there’s no ruling out that MSI may ask Intel for its chips to power the gaming handheld. Hours later after MSI dropped this teaser, Intel Gaming’s X (Twitter) account replied to the post with a very interesting caption:

Could this be the first mainstream gaming handheld to use Intel chips – or even possibly, Intel’s latest Core Ultra chips? CES 2024 should give us the answer when it kicks off next week, and expect more specs to be revealed by then.
