Acer Unveils New Swift Go 14 Laptop With Intel Core Ultra Processors
Acer today introduces the new Swift Go 14, featuring Intel’s all-new Core Ultra processors with Arc Graphics (not to be confused with the Arc A-series). Powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, it conforms to the latest Intel Evo Edition standard with instant wake, fast charging, and up to 12.5 hours of battery life.
Elsewhere, the Swift Go 14 comes with a 1440p QHD webcam, AI-supported PurifiedVoice, and PurifiedView technologies for background noise removal and features like background blur and gaze correction. There’s the dedicated AcerSense button which manages laptop performance, maintenance, and customization – plus a dedicated “AI Zone” for when you need to use AI-related features.
Here’s a bit of AI gimmick: Acer has included something called AlterView, which converts 2D images into animated 3D wallpapers that can be viewed from multiple angles. Since this laptop doesn’t have the kind of 3D display you get on high-end creator laptops and monitors, exactly how this works isn’t quite clear just yet.
The laptop’s I/O and connectivity include USB Type-C, HDMI 2.1, and a MicroSD slot, along with Intel Wi-Fi 6E and Intel Bluetooth LE Audio for high-quality wireless connections. It weighs 1.32 kg and is 14.9 mm thin, with an eco-friendly OceanGlass touchpad made from recycled ocean-bound plastic. The 14-inch OLED display offers up to a 2.8K resolution with 100% DCI-P3 gamut, VESA Display HDR True Black 500 certification, and a 90Hz refresh rate (a touchscreen FHD+ panel is optional).
The Acer Swift Go 14 (SFG14-72) will be available in North America in January 2024, starting at USD 799.99, and in EMEA in December, starting at EUR 1199. Acer hasn’t listed any release window for Asian regions at this writing.
