TravelMate P6 14

Acer has unveiled six new TravelMate models spanning across different sizes and form factors. Starting off with the leader of the pack, the TravelMate P6 14 features Intel Core vPro i7 with Evo certification, 16:10 2.8K OLED (2880×1800) panel with 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 32GB LPDDR5 and 65Wh battery with fast charging support. Wi-Fi 6E and 5G connectivity are standard; on top of that, it also includes privacy displays that limits viewing angles down to 90° to protect against prying eyes.

Next up is the trio of TravelMate P4 models. All three models, with two in clamshell form factor (P4 14 & P4 16) and one featuring 360° hinge (P4 Spin 14), features Intel Core i7 vPro processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU based on the previous-generation Ampere architecture (as the RTX 30 series). Inside this magnesium alloy chassis packs a 2.2K 16:10 display, with the P4 Spin 14 also featuring Corning Gorilla Glass with its FHD+ touchscreen panel and a stylus for note-taking.

Then comes the entry-level TravelMate P2 series, again in two sizing options – 14-inch and 16-inch. Both models feature FHD+ IPS panels, Intel 13th Gen CPUs, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, 180° display hinge, Wi-Fi 6E and 4G LTE connectivity support and various I/O, including Thunderbolt 4.

All six models will feature the company’s Dust Defender technology to minimize dust buildup over the lifespan of the laptops to maintain long-term performance. Aside from that, Acer Light Sensing detects ambient lighting and compensates display brightness and color temperature accordingly to provide more natural colors. All packaging are 100% recycled, with certainly parts of the laptops utilizing PCR plastic, and select models feature User Sensing to automatically lock the device when user leaves the laptop.

All models will begin rollout starting from China in May this year, and while no information is given on Malaysia’s release, it’s likely to arrive somewhere in the second half of 2023.

Pokdepinion: Not much difference between these models on paper, aside from display options really.
