Acer Updates Vero Lineup With Aspire Vero 14 And Vero CB1 Series Monitors
In the recent launch event, Acer Malaysia introduced its latest eco-friendly lineup includes a new Aspire Vero laptop, as well as Vero CB1 series monitors.
First off, the Aspire Vero 14 takes the size down from 15 inches and incorporates 40% PCR plastic in its chassis (10% more in this generation), reducing CO2 emissions by 30%. The trackpad is made from recycled Ocean Bound Plastic (OBP), and the paint-free chassis minimizes volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The laptop is designed to be easy to repair and recycle, and it comes in recyclable packaging that can be repurposed into an ergonomic laptop stand.
It is also equipped with a 14-inch FHD IPS display, 8GB or 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD, and up to a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 processor. It is pre-installed with Microsoft Office 2021 Home and Student edition, and it retails from RM2,599 (starts from Core i3 configuration) – available on Acer eStore, official Shopee as well as Lazada stores. Acer also kicks off a campaign for customers to trade-in old devices (laptops, PCs, tablets and more) for rebates up to RM500 when purchasing the Aspire Vero 14.
Meanwhile, the three monitors in the Vero CB1 series are the CB241Y, CB271, and CB271U – with the former two models featuring a 99% sRGB FHD IPS panel, whereas the lattermost gets an increase in resolution with the QHD IPS panel. All three monitors come with USB-C ports that supplies 65W for laptops; the stand supports height, swivel and pivot adjustments. Pricing is set at RM749 for CB241Y, RM879 for CB271 and finally RM1,099 for the CB271U model.
