ASUS Malaysia Announces Pricing & Availability For 2024 Laptops

Earlier today, ASUS Malaysia held the Transcend Beyond media event, bringing the company’s CES 2024 roster and the refreshed laptop lineup down here in Malaysia. The company has also announced pricing and availability statuses for the upcoming laptops.

Starting with the crown jewel, the all-new Zenbook DUO (UX8406) is a dual-screen laptop that takes the idea of “multitasking on the go” to the next level. Featuring two identical 14-inch displays with an effective display size of 19.8 inches, this is going to be one of the most versatile laptops out there. You get Intel Core Ultra 7 and Intel Evo Edition certification, plus the whole thing weighs just 1.35kg – despite its slightly unwieldy thickness of 19.9 mm (though it is for a good reason). It will set you back for RM9,999, and availability begins on 19 Feb 2024.

The company also showcased the new Zenbook 14 OLED, but we know this one’s officially released some time ago as ASUS was chasing for the title of the first Core Ultra laptop released in the country. To recap, you have two configurations – Core Ultra 7 155H + 32GB RAM / 1TB SSD costs RM5,999; while the Core Ultra 5 125H + 16GB RAM / 512GB SSD will cost you RM4,499 apiece. (You can also read our review of this laptop here.) Both are now available in Ponder Blue colors, with Foggy Silver set to arrive at a later date.

The super-light, super-thin Zenbook S 13 OLED is also getting a minor refresh, which will soon be available with the Core Ultra 7 155U processor, 32GB LPDDR5X-7467 RAM, and 1TB SSD. This configuration will cost RM6,499, available starting 19 Feb 2024.

Interestingly, one laptop that didn’t show up this time around is the newly redesigned Vivobook S series. For now, Malaysians will have to make do with the vanilla Vivobook 16 which has gotten its regular yearly hardware update – the sole configuration available, costing RM3,099, features the new Core 5 120U processor. New names are hard to keep track of, so for your easy reference, think of this chip as basically the same as the Core i5-1335U, with a 400MHz higher boost clock. This model will be available starting 29 Jan 2024.

Pokdepinion: Looking forward to trying out these new stuffs.
