[CES 2022] New Lenovo Yoga Laptops Bring New Look and Eco-Friendliness

Lenovo introduced three new Lenovo Yoga laptops, bringing in a new eye-catching design with one in particular being more eco-friendly. Here’s what you need to know.

Lenovo Yoga 9i

Starting off with the Lenovo Yoga 9i, it’s a 2-in-1 laptop running Windows 11 OS. It’s powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core CPU (up to i7-1260P) with Intel Iris Xe graphics and is Intel Evo certified. The laptop uses a 14-inch 4K OLED touchscreen display with VESA DisplayHDR 500. Moreover, you get added vertical screen real estate with its 16:10 aspect ratio.

For connectivity, it makes use of Thunderbolt 4 and Intel Wi-Fi 6E for fast data transfers. To nail down the entertainment factor, you can enjoy its marvelous display with the Rotating Sound Bar with 4x Bowers & Wilkins speakers. It’s worth noting that the touchpad is now 45% larger to accommodate larger hands.

The Lenovo Yoga 9i will be retailing from USD $1,399 starting Q2 2022. No word yet on availability and pricing in Malaysia but we will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Lenovo Yoga 7i

The Lenovo Yoga 7i has more variety as it comes in both 14-inch and 16-inch size options. Like the Yoga 9i, the Lenovo Yoga 7i is also powered by up to a 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1260P with Intel Iris Xe graphics. The display is different however, as it comes with a 2.8K OLED touchscreen display for the 14-inch variant whereas the 16-inch one gets a 2.5K LCD touchscreen display.

To further boost its capabilities, it comes with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. To juice it all up, you get a sizable 71WHr battery whereas the 16-inch gets a monstrous 100WHr battery. Both of them will support Rapid Charge Express so you don’t have to glue yourself to a wall outlet for too long when it needs a charge.

The 14-inch and 16-inch Lenovo Yoga 7i will be retailing from USD $899 and USD $949 respectively starting Q2 2022. No word yet on availability and pricing in Malaysia but we will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Lenovo Yoga 6

As for the Lenovo Yoga 6, this one is noticeably different than the other two as it’s more focused on environmental sustainability. It’s built with recyclable materials such as aluminum and plastics, with the power brick itself being made up of 30% recycled plastics.

Apart from that, it meets the ENERGY STAR and EPEAT Silver standards while also being free of harmful substances such as mercury. The Windows 11-powered Lenovo Yoga 6 can be configured with up to an AMD Ryzen 7 5700U with Radeon graphics.

The Lenovo Yoga 6 will be retailing from USD $749 starting Q2 2022. No word yet on availability and pricing in Malaysia but we will be reporting more on this as soon as information becomes available so stay tuned.

Pokdepinion: That Lenovo Yoga 9i looks like what I would want for a comfortable everyday laptop. I just hope the speakers are really a step ahead compared to most consumer laptops as it sounds enticing, but I’m not sure how it will be like in reality.
