[Computex 2024] Acer Launches New Chromebook Plus Enterprise Laptops
New Arrival: Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise Laptops
Acer has launched two new Chromebook Plus Enterprise laptops designed for cloud-based organizations: the 15.6-inch Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise 515, and the convertible 2-in-1 Acer Chromebook Plus Enterprise Spin 514. The company is also introducing a consumer version of the Spin 514 for non-commericial uses.
These Chromebooks features up to Intel Core 7 150U processor and up to 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM which should be plenty for a less resource-intensive operating system like ChromeOS. Acer promises up to 10 hours of battery life for these laptops with fast charging capabilities from the 53Wh cell.
The 15.6-inch model comes with the FHD IPS panel and a numeric keypad, suitable for finance and STEM fields; as for the 14-inch variant, the display is a FHD+ 16:10 IPS panel with a convertible design and an antimicrobial Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen, supporting USI active stylus input. Both models are MIL-STD 810H compliant, with features like backlit keyboards and Wi-Fi 6E (via Intel AX211).
These new laptops come with ChromeOS business capabilities ready out-of-the-box, facilitating easy onboarding, zero-touch enrollment, and enhanced security features on the fleet. They also support Chrome Education Upgrade for efficient device management in schools, offering 24/7 Google support and seamless policy management.
Expect these laptops to gradually launch starting this June in NA and EMEA markets, with pricing starting at $549.99.
Pokdepinion: 16GB RAM should be decent for these laptops.
