GIGABYTE’s upcoming laptop to come with next-gen hardware and design
GIGABYTE has shared with us some information of their upcoming gaming laptop, which has an all-new design that’s a stark departure from their current lineup of gaming laptops. In addition to the new design, it’s also expected to feature next-gen hardware.
GIGABYTE has equipped the laptop with the latest WINDFORCE Infinity Cooling System which offers 30% better cooling efficiency that enables the CPU and GPU to deliver optimal performance under full load. The battery is a huge 94 WHr unit so that you can also use it for work away from the plug.
GIGABYTE will also be upgrading the keyboard in the laptop with OMRON Gaming Switches, which should make it the first laptop in the world to offer a mechanical keyboard experience in a laptop this thin. The OMRON Gaming Switches offer better illumination and a better typing experience with tactile feedback that’s unmatched by membrane designs. Each of the keys light up individually and can be controlled via the RGB Fusion 2.0 software.
Of course, no gaming laptop in 2020 will be complete with a high refresh rate panel. GIGABYTE will be equipping their upcoming gaming machine with up to 240 Hz displays, so you can take full advantage of the graphics prowess on tap.
All of that will be encased in an all-aluminium chassis. The laptop will feature a new gunmetal grey finish, unlike its predecessors which came with all-black finishes. The design has also been revamped, with a sleeker profile so that it won’t look out of place in a board room, and yet still offer the cooling you need with some huge vents on the rear and sides of the chassis. GIGABYTE calls this a “racing inspired” unibody design.
What do you think of the upcoming laptop’s design? Do you prefer it over last-gen’s GIGABYTE AORUS 15?
