HUAWEI Launches MateBook D 16 With 13th Gen Core i9 Option
HUAWEI today announces the updated MateBook D 16 is available nationwide. The refresh consists of three processor options, including two Core i5 chips and the Core i9 variant, the latter of which will be available later (with preorders now open).
In terms of specs, the MateBook D 16 continues to sport a 16-inch 16:10 FHD+ IPS panel with 300 nits of brightness with a 90% screen-to-body ratio; other specs include up to 16GB of RAM (depending on variants), 70Wh battery, 720p onboard webcam and included WPS Office software.
Starting today, a total of three variants are available to purchase from all HUAWEI Experience Stores, official website, Shopee, and Lazada – the 12th Gen Core i5 option in either 8GB+512GB and 16GB+512GB will cost RM2,899 and RM3,199 respectively, with the newer 13th Gen Core i5 (16GB+1TB) costing RM3,699.
The fourth variant, featuring the 13th Gen Intel Core i9 processor with 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD will come at the price of RM5,299 – this model is currently open for preorders, which is set to end on February 2, 2024. Customers are eligible for gifts worth up to RM2,144 upon purchase of any model.
Pokdepinion: 12th Gen is arguably dated at this point – but considering it’s a budget laptop, it’s passable.
