HUAWEI is probably better known for their smartphones than their laptops, but they do have a strong lineup of HUAWEI MateBook PCs too. The HUAWEI MateBook series launched yesterday comes with the latest 10th Generation “Comet Lake” Intel Core and AMD Ryzen processors. The more premium MateBook X Pro laptops will come with the Intel processors, while the MateBook D series will be available with both AMD and Intel processors.

HUAWEI MateBook D Series

The HUAWEI MateBook D 14 and MateBook D 15 are the more affordable offerings from HUAWEI. While they are less premium than the HUAWEI MateBook 13 and MateBook X Pro, the two models are clad in an all-aluminium chassis and also offer the HUAWEI Share feature that’s standard on all HUAWEI MateBook laptops.

HUAWEI MateBook X Pro

The new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is available exclusively with 10th Generation Intel Core processors. This year’s model will come in a new Emerald Green finish on its aluminium body. For contrast, the logo is finished in gold to give off a premium look. The whole laptop merely weighs 1.33kg and measures 14.6mm thin, promising a super-portable computing experience.

Instead of the standard 16:9 ratio, the MateBook X Pro’s 13.9″ 3K display touts a unique 3:2 aspect ratio to optimize it for productivity and content creation. Keeping things powered is a 56 Wh battery, and the HUAWEI MateBook X Pro also charges via 65W Type-C power adapter that also supports HUAWEI SuperCharge on selected smartphones.

The HUAWEI MateBook X Pro is available in the following three variants:

  • Core i5 + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD: EUR 1499 (~RM6877)
  • Core i5 + 16GB RAM + 512GB SSD + MX250: EUR 1699 (~RM7794)
  • Core i7 + 16GB RAM + 1TB SSD + MX 250: EUR 1999 (~RM9170)

You can expect to see the new HUAWEI MateBook X Pro launching in selected regions from April 2020.

Pokdepinion: HUAWEI’s laptops are really quite good. Loved them when I had the opportunity to use one.
