Lenovo showcased its latest AI-driven devices and solutions at Tech World 2024 – amongst various announcements revolving artificial intelligence (AI), the event introduced Lenovo AI Now, an AI agent designed to transform PCs into personalized assistants, and the ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition laptop.
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Aura Edition & AI Now Software
The ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 Aura Edition comes equipped with Intel’s Core Ultra 200V processor paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X-8533 RAM, along with up to 2TB of PCIe 5.0 SSD and three 14-inch display options. Like other Aura Edition laptops announced this year, the ThinkPad laptop supports Smart Modes that optimize performance and features based on user needs. Battery life is quoted as “over 18 hours,” and is a user-replaceable 57Wh unit – a common trend in business-facing laptops.
Meanwhile, the Lenovo AI Now software is a local AI agent that allows users to automate tasks, manage documents, and control devices using natural language commands. The main highlight of this app is that it operates locally on the device, which ensures data privacy; the platform also supports third-party AI applications for wider feature integration, as well as providing users with after-sales support.
At Tech World 2024, Lenovo also introduced various concepts and solutions like the Lenovo Learning Zone, AI Buddy, AI Mouse (certainly not the first one to do it), Home AI Brain, along with Super Multi-view 3D Conference Solution and ThinkSmart Core Gen 2 for commercial environments.
