Lenovo has launched its latest range of laptops in Malaysia, featuring Intel Core Ultra 200 series processors – the new lineup includes the AI-capable Aura Edition series and updated models of Yoga, ThinkPad, and IdeaPad laptops.
The key announcement this time around is Aura Edition laptops, which include three main software features: Smart Features, which allow users to switch between modes for privacy protection, virtual meetings, battery optimization, and digital well-being; Smart Share enables wireless file transfers between smartphones and laptops across Android and iOS devices, while Smart Care provides users access to Lenovo technicians for real-time support.
New Lenovo Laptops
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition comes with two sizes – 14-inch and 15-inch – featuring up to a 2.8K Puresight Pro display (120Hz OLED, 500 nits, touchscreen optional), with an ultra-thin 13.9mm profile. Battery life is quoted with over 18 hours from its 70Wh unit, courtesy of “AI Core” feature that the company claimed “enables dynamic optimization of workloads.”
Meanwhile, the Lenovo ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition comes with a high-resolution MIPI camera, dual noise-canceling microphones, and an “engine hub” for optimized cooling. The laptop, which Lenovo says is designed for hybrid work environments, is equipped with Lenovo AI Now, an on-device AI chatbot that taps into onboard NPU to provide document management, system controls, and more.
The third Aura Edition laptop is the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Aura Edition, which is the lightest model in the its lineage weighing just under 1kg. It features a 2.8K OLED Dolby Vision display, a switchable 120Hz refresh rate; there’s also a haptic touchpad along with the classic TrackPoint that ThinkPads are known for. Besides that, the company has also announced the Yoga 7i 2-in-1, the Yoga Book 9i (with dual OLED displays), the Yoga Slim 9i, and the IdeaPad Slim 5i for this launch.
The new laptops are now available at Lenovo Exclusive Stores and official online stores on Lazada and Shopee; prices start at RM6,999 for the Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition, RM9,288 for the ThinkPad X9 Aura Edition, RM9,676 for the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Aura Edition, RM4,499 for the Yoga 7i 2-in-1, RM9,999 for both the Yoga Book 9i and the Yoga Slim 9i, and RM4,499 for the IdeaPad Slim 5i.
