ROG Zephyrus G14 with RTX 2060 and 120 Hz display is coming at a later date
The ROG Zephyrus G14 has been made official a week earlier, with the highest-end variant announced with a GeForce RTX 2060 for RM7699. That’s a pretty great price for such an amazing piece of hardware, but disappointingly, ASUS Malaysia revealed that it will come with a 60 Hz 1440p display instead of the 120 Hz FHD display in the variant we reviewed. Well, it seems that a 120 Hz variant will also make its way into Malaysia at a later date.
Gamers who want to enjoy high refresh rate gaming on the ROG Zephyrus G14 will probably have to wait a bit longer for the 120 Hz variant to be offered here in Malaysia, but I do think it will be worth the wait. The GeForce RTX 2060 is barely enough for gaming at 1080p, so 1440p would mean you have to play at 1080p and suffer blurry visuals due to the fact that 1080p doesn’t scale properly to 1440p.
Both the 120 Hz FHD display and 2K60 panels are Pantone Validated and offer up to 100% sRGB coverage, which means that they will deliver a pretty similar experience when it comes to content creation too. Also when crammed into a 14″ form factor, the difference in resolution is barely noticeable.
As of now, ASUS Malaysia will still continue with their plan to launch the ROG Zephyrus G14 this 29th June with the 2K60 display. You can check out the full specifications of the ROG Zephyrus G14 below:

ASUS Malaysia didn’t confirm the date that they will be bringing in the ROG Zephyrus G14 with the 120 Hz display, but our best bet would be a few months down the line, along with the more affordable configurations of the ROG Zephyrus G14 with GeForce GTX 16-series graphics.
What do you think? Should the ROG Zephyrus G14 come with a 120 Hz FHD display or a 60 Hz 2K screen? Let us know in the comments!
Pokdepinion: I think I will be holding out for the ROG Zephyrus G14 with a 120 Hz display panel.
