Here’s A First Look At The Upcoming POCO F3 And It’s A Rebadged Redmi K40
Renders of the new and upcoming POCO F3 have just been unveiled via a tipster by the name of Ishan Agarwal on Twitter. According to the tipster, the POCO F3 will be a rebadge of the Redmi K40 which was recently released in China. This bit of news isn’t all that surprising considering that there have been pieces of evidence pointing that the Redmi K40 series will be rebranded under the POCO brand for global audiences.
POCO F3 is coming
This is corroborated by Ishan as he said that the POCO F3 will feature a Snapdragon 870 SoC, the same as the Redmi K40. This means that the F3 should feature the same specs as the K40 including a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate as well as stereo speakers.

However, if you look closely at the renders it does seem that the upcoming POCO device will feature slight cosmetic changes to differentiate itself from the Redmi K40. The black and white variants look to feature the POCO brand name. The blue variant, on the other hand, features a more distinct POCO brand placement; huge, white and placed towards the bottom middle of the device at an angle.
Other Redmi K40 features the POCO F3 will come with is a triple camera setup that includes a 48MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5MP telephoto macro camera. It will also tout a 20MP punch-hole selfie camera at the front. There will also be a 4,520mAh battery powering the device with support for 33W fast charging. Despite the Redmi K40/POCO F3 coming with stereo speakers, the device loses the 3.5mm headphone jack (which is a shame in my book).
POCO will be doing a global launch event tonight where they are expected to launch the new POCO X3 Pro though there have been rumours of the POCO F3 being officially launched alongside it. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves tonight.
Pokdepinion: If the price is right, I might just spring for the POCO F3 as my new daily driver.
