In typical Google fashion, the upcoming hardware event set to unveil four new Pixel smartphones – Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold – has already been the subject of numerous leaks. As the release date approaches, we’ve finally caught a glimpse of the highly anticipated foldable in real life, albeit unofficially.
Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold Spotted

A sharp-eyed individual in Taiwan spotted the Pixel 9 Pro Fold at a Starbucks and managed to snap a photo of the device. The image reveals a design consistent with the leaked promo video and renders from earlier this week. Notably, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold in the photo is encased in what appears to be an official Google case, complete with the iconic “G” logo on the back.
The case seems to smooth out the protruding camera bump, making the device more stable on flat surfaces. While it’s difficult to gauge the exact thickness of the protective case, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold appears significantly thinner than its predecessor, even with the case on.
Pokdepinion: Could this be the best foldable of 2024 or will another brand take the crown? We’re going to find out soon.
