HONOR 90 Series Officially Launched in Malaysia
The dashing yet affordable HONOR 90 has finally arrived in Malaysia. Here’s everything you need to know about the new smartphone.
HONOR 90 Series
The HONOR 90 is the latest midrange smartphone around powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 Accelerated Edition mated to 8GB / 12GB RAM and with storage options of either 256GB or a whopping 512GB. It sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with what’s being described as “risk-free” 3840Hz PWM Dimming. The latter is designed to improve viewing comfort as it minimizes eye fatigue.
Apart from that, it comes with a triple camera setup consisting of a 200MP “Ultra-Clear” f/1.9 wide angle camera, a 12MP f/2.2 ultrawide camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera. On the front, you get a 50MP f/2.4 wide angle camera for selfies. Both the rear and front cameras can support up to 4K video recording.
Not to forget, it does have the latest connectivity options available, including 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. It will be running MagicOS 7.1 based on Android 13 right out of the box. In case you’re wondering, it does have the full Google Mobile Service suite in here, including Google Play Store.
We also have the HONOR 90 Lite, which uses an IPS LCD panel with Full HD resolution and 90Hz refresh rate instead. It’s also powered by the Dimensity 6020 chip mated to 8GBs of RAM and 256GB storage. The triple camera setup consists of a 100MP wide angle, 5MP ultrawide, and 2MP macro camera. Lastly, it has a smaller 4,500mAh battery with 22.5W charging speed.

The HONOR 90 will be available from today onwards with retail prices starting from RM1,799. It will be available in four different colors; Midnight Black, Emerald Green, Diamond Silver, and Peacock Blue. The HONOR 90 Lite will be retailing with a more affordable price of RM1,099.

Pokdepinion: When I first got my hands on the HONOR 90, I was honestly surprised as to how affordable it is. It looks and feels like something at least twice its asking price. Of course, I got a clearer idea after running some benchmarks but I’ll explain more on that in the review.
