HONOR Magic6 Pro Unboxing and First Impressions
We got our hands on the new HONOR Magic6 Pro but before we publish the review, have a taste of it with our unboxing and first impressions.
HONOR Magic6 Pro Unboxing
Kicking off the HONOR Magic6 Pro review with the unboxing, it comes in a similar packaging as its predecessors. It’s clad in black and it’s rather minimalistic in nature as you only get the name of the device on the cover. Inside the box, we found the following items:
- USB-C to USB-C cable
- 80W HONOR SuperCharge charger
- SIM ejector pin
- Documentations
- Clear protective case
- The HONOR Magic6 Pro itself
First Impressions
For our review unit, we received the green colorway, which feels like its signature color but if that doesn’t matter to you, you can also opt in black, blue, purple, and white. It’s a rather large device and is clearly designed to compete against the upper echelons of flagships in 2024. The rear has a textured finish for a better grip and coupled together with its rock-solid build quality, I honestly don’t know why they bother including a protective case with as I personally would use it naked. No worries of fingerprint smudges here whatsoever.
Flip the HONOR Magic6 Pro over and you get a stunning 6.8-inch Quad Curved Floating LTPO OLED display with adaptive refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz as well as pill-shaped notch that has moved from the top-left corner to the top-center area. The use of the HONOR NanoCrystal Shield is said to be a major part of its extreme durability, so users don’t have to worry about accidental drops. We’ve seen some rather extreme demonstrations of its durability during the launch events so we’re inclined to believe it’s not just a simple marketing ploy.
The HONOR Magic6 Pro gets the latest Qualcomm flagship chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, which is par for the course when it comes to flagships this year. The biggest highlight of this is the new HONOR Tele-Falcon Camera System, and we’ll leave the nitty gritty details in the spec sheet below. One thing’s for sure, there’s certainly more emphasis on the camera system this time around given the golden ring around the camera bump in the rear. In case you’re curious, check out its specifications right below here:
