Acer Swift 3 receives Kaby Lake Refresh upgrade; better performance, but keeps the same price tag!
Just days after Intel announces the 8th Generation Core processors for mobile, the Kaby Lake Refresh line-up of mobile CPUs, Acer Malaysia announces that the Acer Swift 3 which was just refreshed back in early August with new colors and a new 15.6″ display option, is now available with the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processors.
The Acer Swift 3 will retain specifications like the 256GB SSD and 8GB of DDR4 memory which will deliver reliable performance. With the newer CPUs retaining the 15W TDP of the 7th Generation Core i5 CPUs, the previous generation’s 10-hour battery life is also promised in the latest updated variant of the Acer Swift 3. With the 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac WiFi, fast, reliable connectivity is assured.
The best news of the day is that the Acer Swift 3 with 8th Generation Intel Core i5 processors remain the same as before, starting from RM3399 to RM3899.
Pokdepinion: More cores at the same price? That’s really rare coming from Intel, and it’s even rarer to see OEMs passing it on to consumers. Kudos to Acer!
