Interestingly, HUAWEI Mobile’s social media channels have remained silent about the Mate 70 series announcement, making this revelation during the auto show a pleasant surprise.

The Mate 70 series is anticipated to include four models:

  • HUAWEI Mate 70
  • HUAWEI Mate 70 Pro
  • HUAWEI Mate 70 Pro+
  • HUAWEI Mate 70 RS Ultimate

All models are expected to run HarmonyOS Next, HUAWEI’s first operating system that is reportedly independent of AOSP (Android Open Source Project).

The series could debut the new HiSilicon Kirin 9100 chipset, which is rumored to be manufactured on a 6nm node by SMIC. Reports suggest this chip could offer performance comparable to the Snapdragon 888 or Dimensity 9000, providing a significant boost in processing power for HUAWEI’s flagship devices.

Pokdepinion: I believe we’re about to see something revolutionary with HUAWEI very soon. It might not be something of immediate effect, but I have great expectations for them. Given their circumstances, might need to give them a bit of time before we can see anything substantial, at least if you’re not in China.
