The Infinix SMART 20e has officially launched in Malaysia, bringing IP64-rated dust and splash resistance, a 120Hz display, and boosted audio to the entry-level smartphone segment. The smartphone maker positions this new model at students, young professionals, and small-business owners looking for a practical daily driver without stretching their budget.
Infinix SMART 20e
Despite being a ultra-budget smartphone, the Infinix SMART 20e still has a 120Hz display with 700 nits of peak brightness; though the processing is done by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, so keep your expectations reasonable in terms of its performance.
For durability, the phone carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance. Infinix says the device has passed MIL-STD-810H shock resistance testing and has been tested for drops of up to 1.5 meters in internal laboratory conditions. The SMART 20e includes a battery self-healing feature that uses low-intensity current to address microscopic changes caused by repeated charging cycles, with the aim of slowing battery ageing.
The phone also offers 200% boosted volume for calls, navigation prompts and media playback in noisy environments; a rain-responsive touch feature is also included, allowing the screen to remain usable in wet conditions.
Flash Sharing allows file transfers by tapping the phone against a compatible NFC-enabled Transsion device (i.e. TECNO, Infinix, and Itel), using Bluetooth and Wi-Fi rather than cellular data. Cross-platform transfers with iPhones are supported through the Instant Transfer app.
At RM549 and RM599 for 4+64GB and 4+128GB variants respectively, the Infinix SMART 20e will be available in Malaysia from 9 October 2026 through Infinix Official Stores on Shopee and TikTok Shop, as well as Infinix Brand Stores nationwide. It comes in four colors: Deep Cherry, Hush Blue, Silver Dance and Night Pulse.
Pokdepinion: IP64 is a decent deal in this segment – just do not drop it in the pool and expect miracles.
