The Nothing Phone 2 will officially go on sale starting 22nd July 2023, with a limited drop happening recently at Crossover Mid Valley on 15th July. The retail price is set at RM2,999 for the 12GB RAM / 256GB storage variant while the 12GB RAM / 512GB storage variant will be priced at RM3,499.

In case you missed it, the Nothing Phone 2 may appear similar to its predecessor, but a closer look reveals subtle design refinements. The smartphone now boasts a slightly larger form factor and features a rounded glass back that enhances comfort during use. The iconic Glyph lighting system has also undergone enhancements, with 11 segmented LED strips and 33 lighting zones. This allows for new use cases, including displaying volume levels and acting as a countdown timer.

Nothing has addressed a common concern from users of the Phone (1) by incorporating a new sensor that automatically adjusts the intensity of the Glyph interface based on ambient lighting conditions. This improvement ensures that the lighting system is not overly bright or distracting. The initial teasers showcased a small red indicator light and a supposed switch on the rear plate. It has been revealed that the indicator light illuminates when recording videos, while the switch is purely cosmetic and not functional.
