OnePlus 11 5G Officially Launched Globally with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chip

At the OnePlus Cloud 11 launch event, the OnePlus 11 5G and OnePlus Buds Pro 2 were finally unveiled. Here’s everything that you need to know about the new gadgets.
OnePlus 11 5G
The OnePlus 11 5G is their newest flagship smartphone powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. It sports a 6.7-inch Super Fluid AMOLED LTPO display with Gorilla Glass Victus. The display itself will support dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 120Hz and has a 1000Hz touch response rate for an extremely quick response rate. As for memory, you will have option of either 8GB RAM with 128GB UFS 3.1 storage or 16GB RAM with 256GB UFS 4.0 storage, with both variants using LPDDR5X RAM.
For the cameras, you get a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX890 wide angle camera as the main, along with a 48MP f/2.2 Sony IMX581 ultrawide camera (115°) and a 32MP f/2.0 Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. As for the selfie camera, you get a 16MP f/2.45 Sony IMX471 front-facing shooter.
It will be running OxygenOS 13 based on Android 13 right out of the box and it will be juiced up by a healthy 5,000mAh battery. It doesn’t have wireless charging support but it does support a speedy 100W charging, with a 100W charger included inside the box. The OnePlus 11 5G will be retailing for USD $699 for the 8GB RAM / 128GB storage and USD $799 for the 16GB RAM / 256GB storage variant, and it will be available in both Titan Black and Eternal Green colour options. The Malaysian launch date and pricing has yet to be revealed but it’s expected to be announced next week so do stay tuned for that.
OnePlus Buds Pro 2
The successor their previous Buds Pro, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 comes with a suite of healthy upgrades over its predecessor. This one has a dual 11mm and 6mm dynamic drivers, and 48db TUV-certified Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation. It uses Bluetooth 5.3 with LE and features Google Fast Pair, the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, and supports LHDC 4.0
With Audio ID 2.0, you can get a more tailored listening experience as the earbuds will scan your ears for a more optimized listening experience via your smartphone. For clear calls, it comes with 3 microphones and an AI algorithm which will silence the noise around you. It also has IP55 dust and water resistance. Pokdepinion: Given the global price, I hope the price in Malaysia will be affordable so it can really put up a fight against the other flagships. The OnePlus 11 5G is a pretty good device but it’s clear that it has some sacrifices made in order to keep costs low.
