OnePlus has been creating excitement for its upcoming flagship, the OnePlus 13, by revealing some impressive display specs via its official Weibo account. The highly anticipated device is scheduled to debut on October 31, featuring BOE’s state-of-the-art Oriental X2 display panel, marking a notable advancement in display tech.
OnePlus 13 Display Tech

The Oriental X2 panel offers standard premium features like HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. Beyond that, however, this second-generation OLED panel provides new functionalities designed to improve usability and eye comfort. For instance, it supports glove touch, making it convenient for colder climates or situations where users need to operate the phone without removing gloves. The enhanced Rain Touch 2.0 feature allows for better responsiveness in wet conditions, ensuring accuracy in various environments.

Additionally, BOE has incorporated a game touch technology in the Oriental X2 panel for a faster response time during gaming, along with full-brightness DC dimming and an anti-flicker system. Eye health remains a top priority, with TÜV Rheinland’s Intelligent Eye Protection 4.0 certification, which promises advanced eye protection through optimized brightness adjustments and reduced blue light exposure.
While the teasers highlight some of these cutting-edge features, recent leaks add even more intrigue. Rumors suggest that the OnePlus 13 will sport a quad-curved display and introduce an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint scanner, replacing the optical sensor seen in previous models. Brightness enhancements are also expected, but we’ll need to wait for the October 31 launch to confirm these features and get a closer look at what promises to be a flagship to watch.
