The much awaited POCO F2 Pro is finally here, with it launched in the the global launch event just a bit earlier. Priced from €499 (~RM2344), the POCO F2 Pro brings the Redmi K30 Pro to more markets than the currently China-exclusive flagship killer. Yes, it is a direct rebrand of the Redmi K30 Pro.

With it, you get the Snapdragon 865 mated to up to 8GB LPDDR5 and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It’s worth noting however that the variant with 128GB storage will instead pack 6GB LPDDR4x, instead of the faster memory that the higher end POCO F2 Pro is equipped with. All of that is powered by a 4700 mAh battery which supports 30W fast charging.

On the front, you get a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED display, which unfortunately runs at just 60 Hz instead of the higher refresh rates recent flagships offer. Over on the back you get a quad-camera setup, consisting of a primary 64MP Sony IMX686 camera, a 13MP ultra-wide camera and a 5MP telemacro camera. The latter is probably the most interesting one, as it offers a 50mm focal length for macros, allowing you to capture more stunning detail with a narrower field-of-view. It should prove pretty interesting to play around with.

Here are the specifications for your reference:

The POCO F2 Pro is very aggressively positioning itself to be a flagship killer, vying for the Galaxy S20+ and OnePlus 8 Pro through out much of the presentation slides during the global launch.

Before we all go calling out POCO for offering the POCO F2 Pro at a much more premium price segment, the EU usually pays more for their smartphones than us, as you can see in the comparison charts. The Galaxy S20+ which costs RM3999 here will set you back a whopping ~RM4740 in the EU. So stay tuned for the POCO F2 Pro pricing in Malaysia, as we will be updating you guys as soon as we know more about that.

Pokdepinion: Man now I am really curious how much the POCO F2 Pro will cost in Malaysia.
